I bought Health o meter because I recognized the name. This is a very good quality scale. I had a little trouble putting it together but the health o meter tech support people walked me through what I was doing wrong. | ||||

I bought this because my doctor uses the same one. Its a good scale. It was a little tricky to put together but once I got it together it has weighed very good. | ||||

I debated this purchase. After all, it is a large visual eye sore, and with shipping it was three times the cost of the fanciest digital scale I'd seen, but I wanted consistent and accurate weight measurements. It is easy enough to assemble, but the beam didn't move freely, it pressed up against the "Trig Loop" making it useless. While the Assembly and Operating Instructions identify this issue in the Troubleshooting section, it doesn't explain how to fix it. Instead, it gives you a phone number to call Technical Support for advice on how to remedy the problem. Support's phone availability is limited. Assuming you need to have access to the scale when making the call, it is inconvenient for a working person, depending upon what time zone you are in. (I would prefer not to have to get up a half hour earlier to remedy this.) The manufacturer's web site doesn't have a video or instructions posted, so you're just stuck waiting for support's office hours. |
